This game makes use of the Augmented Reality functionality built into the PS Vita. Using six cards with unique patterns you can find their position in the world.
I used this technology to create a racing game where the track can be created and edited as you play. The cards can be moved during the runtime to edit the shape of the track, with height being accounted for.
The rendered track can be seen through the PS Vita and to drive the cars you use the shoulder buttons for each car. This concept has a lot of potential for a full game application. For example a HotWheels or Scaletrix branded mobile game where you can create a track that goes around your living room.
This was my first experience working with augmented reality and I found it enjoyable to implement, it opened my eyes to what could be possible with AR apps in the future for platforms like mobile.
